Shalyn Guthery is a Life Member of the Theta Xi chapter of Iowa State University. Shalyn graduated with a B.S. degree in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in 2013, and a M.S. degree in Computational Biology from Carnegie Mellon University. Three fun facts about Shalyn are that she has two cats, Ambre and Pixel, she likes to occasionally sew her own clothes in addition to other various arts and crafts (crochet, card making, cross-stitch, and quilting to name a few), an loves to travel and has been fortunate to visit 12 countries (her most recent trip(s) have been to Sweden).
